The MGF and MG TF are the British roadsters that brought the MG badge back to the roads in the '90s: pure driving, mid-engine layout, classic spirit. They still enjoy a passionate community across Europe and the UK. But after over 20 years, finding original parts in good condition — especially headlights — has become a real challenge. The problem we know well

MGF and MG TF headlights are notoriously plagued by a chronic issue: the internal polycarbonate diffuser lens becomes cloudy, forming a milky film that drastically reduces light output. The problem is so severe it causes MOT failures. Manufacturer Valeo failed to adequately protect either the aluminium reflector or the plastic from heat degradation.

Original replacements? Sky-high prices and dwindling stock — over £200 per headlamp assembly. Chinese alternatives? Poor quality, they mist up immediately. Reflector re-chroming? Expensive, complex and requires weeks off the road.

Using the same technology and standards behind our Fiat Barchetta headlight lenses, we aim to solve this problem for the MGF and MG TF as well.
